Hello, I’m Kirt. Welcome to my corner of the web.

A little radio.
A lot of other interests.

I like figuring out how things work, building things, and getting to know the people I meet along the way. Sometimes that involves amateur radio. Just as often, it’s technology, music, cars, or a conversation that wandered well off topic.

Good company

Usually tinkering
with something.

A lot of what I build lives on a screen: websites, small tools, and whatever idea has me asking, “Could I make that?” But my interests tend to follow anything with a signal, a screen, speakers, or an engine.

I’m also a horror movie fan. Not everything needs to be useful.

Radio brought us here.
People keep it interesting.

I’m vice president of the Snoqualmie Valley Amateur Radio Club—SnoVARC. You’re more likely to find me helping with the website, our online community, or the meeting’s audio and video than chasing contacts around the world.

I enjoy sharing what I know and helping someone get a little further with what they’re doing. And if a conversation starts with radios and ends somewhere completely unrelated, that’s usually a good thing.

On the workbench / Things worth sharing

In the room, on Zoom.

People have asked how I run our hybrid club meetings. Here’s the longer answer: what I use, why I use it, and the tradeoffs behind the setup. Not a shopping list. A look behind the scenes.

03 / Good conversations start somewhere

Say hello.

If we’ve met through the club, crossed paths elsewhere, or share an interest, I’d enjoy a conversation. Drop me a line.
